priceguide
This is something I’ve been working on for quite some time now. I’ve put a small price guide together that covers a little more than 100 models (new and old) with their most recent MSRP’s plus a short description and the year when the model was first released and when it became discontinued.
Although I already put quite a lot knives on the list it is far from complete. I almost always find some new info when I’m just done with updating the list so this is work in progress. As soon as I get more information I’ll make an update. Originally the plan was to update it about twice a month but this proved itself to be impossible. So the updates are not done within a schedule, but whenever enough new information is available to me.
To view the list you need Adobe Reader installed. If you don’t have it by now, you can download it for free at www.adobe.com or use simlar software like Foxit. If you find my price guide useful and want to have the latest version check back from time to time or subscribe to my page via RSS-feed as I will post whenever the next version is ready for download! Since I put the guide first online on my old website, nearly 6.000 people downloaded it and many people helped me by sending me information about missing models or the like. Thank you guys! If anyone of you wants to contribute, feel free to either post here or send me an email.

I have a spyderco police titanium ats34 steel new in the pouch and was curious as to the price it would bring when sold as it is up for auction sale now on craigslist ,it is a beatiful knife but i will never carry it as i know it is worth too much to scratch. Thanks David
Hi David! Recently I got the information from a fellow collector that the Ti Police had a MSRP of around $ 300 and the ones that I’ve seen in the past couple of years were sold within a range of $ 200 – 350. It’s a beautiful knife and not too many were made… Cheers, Rob

Hi Heidi! Unfortunately I don’t have much more info on the CX02 myself other than it later became the C62 Navigator. An old Ironstone catalog (available on Ted’s site) states that the MSRP of the CX02 was $ 74,95 in (probably) 1998. As for the current value I only can give you a guess as I’ve seen the last ones for sale a couple of years ago. Back then they sold somewhere between $ 60 and $ 80 on eBay. I hope that helps at least a little

Interestingly I found some more news regarding the first comment by David Stokes on this page about the Ti-Police. Sal Glesser wrote on Bladeforums that the first 500 pieces batch was sold for $ 125. I wish this would still be the case

Great website, I was interested in the C26 Snap-It you own, I managed to buy one the other day with a combo edge and a black handle of dull material. I have been trying to identify clearly by sites such as yours to determine the handle material. All I can find apart from your picture is listings of Snap-Its with clips on. My one has a ATS-55 blade. Would you know more about it or refer me to a site with more information.

Lea, The Snap-It has a handle made of FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) which most likely is the “dull” material you are refering to. They were made in black, red and orange but the orange one is very rarely seen. All of these had black Kraton (some sort of rubber) inserts which featured Spyderco’s “volcano texture” in their handles.
They did not have a regular pocket clip like so many other Spydercos. All they hat to attach them to clothing or gear was a spring loaded snap-shackle which was located lear the pivot of the knife.
A Great ressource for identifying Spyderco knives is Ted’s list. To find out more about older models, Ted’s scanned catalogs can be very helpful. Other than that, you’ll find lots of info at Spyderco’s own forum and if you don’t, there’s a great number of knowledgeable and helpful people you can ask. In most of the cases you’ll get an answer there rather quickly for questions you were investigating for some time

Definitely yes! I know I am a bit behind as the latest infos in it are from last year. Currently I am a bit busy and hardly have any spare time but I am working on it. As it looks now, I think it’s safe to say the updated version won’t be online before the end of March but it is in the works.
