Although it took me a couple of weeks to find time for some text and a picture, both are finished now. This time I am not really satisfied with the picture so I’ll probably redo it later. I’ve also added a bigger version of the picture below to the my knife gallery

I also wrote a short review with my first impressions which can be found in the review-section of my page or you can go to my review directly by clicking the graphic below.

C122 Tenacious added…

Since the C122 Tenacious is the first model from Spyderco which is made in China and its quite low price I became courious about it and ordered one. I am a bit short on time right now so pictures and a review will follow. All I can say at the moment is that I am really impressed what kind of knife you can get for such a low price!

Until I’ve time enough to take a nice picture and write a review, I’ve decided to test a video-plugin for my site which I found lately to give you at least some impressions of the knife. Just some quick and dirty made macro shots in black and white…

New features added to the site…

Since it became a bit confusing to manage ~ 30 single pages that held the pictures from my little gallery, I decided that I had to find a better solution. Namely this solution is a plugin called “Lightbox”. It displays pictures as an overlay to the site and should work with most modern browsers. On older browsers it will open the pictures in a new window - which is actually not desirable but better than seeing nothing Here’s an example of how it works:

If you’ve been on this page before, I am sure that you’ve noticed that the size of the picture is way larger than it used to be. After I’ve recieved many requests for bigger pictures, I thought that it actually would be a good idea I’ve already changed my knives-page with the new lightbox-feature and added bigger pictures wherever I still had the originals on my HDD. As for the others, I am going to take new ones because some of them are already 4 years old and of bad quality anway. The smaller pics like the one in my previous post will be kept for posting here on the main page but the single pages that were used to accumulate the pictures for each model will be deleted soon.

I’ve also enabled caching for my site because in the past couple of weeks the site was not as responsive as it used to be. I hope it now runs a little bit faster. The only thing I know at the moment is, that the fault does not seem to be on my end.
